Trifles was the trivia section of Flexipop! It was the place for gossip and gurns and piss-takes and silly charts. More importantly, it was also the place for a series of cruel, distasteful and wonderfully funny caricatures created by Flexipop! designer, Mark Manning. His delightfully despairing and lovably vindictive cartoons brought Trifles to life and actually made the words funnier. As it was usually the first regular feature in the magazine, Trifles acted as a shop window to the rest of the shit so it had to grab the attention. Mark’s in-your-face design (apart from the odd fuck-up!) and eye-catching illustrations made sure it did just that.
